Stormwater Filters Prevent Pollution In Our Water

Thanks to stormwater filters, it is possible to remove contaminates from water that enters drains during heavy rain. If you have ever stood outside during a heavy rainfall on a city street, you have probably seen litter being carried away by rushing water toward the city's drainage system. Without stormwater filters, the litter would end up in the lakes and streams that surround many major cities. From there, it would make its way into oceans and bodies of water. But thanks to stormwater filters, all of those pollutants are removed before they have the opportunity find their way into our water. Stormwater filters are situated directly behind city drains. You can also find stormwater filters in other places like parking lots; any surface that prevents water from absorbing into the ground needs to have stormwater filters to prevent pollution.
